The prototype is ready because Markus found an important information we (Bernhard and I) forgot to mention. The Multitech Multimodem must have the PPP dialout setting disabled or the telnet connection will be instable. Together we are now ready to use Martins code in production. The next step is done! After...
The next step is done! After a whole bunch of testing, the SMS Gateway is now productive for a small amount of SMS text messages. Well we will see if it will work stable. Maybe we can release the initial source code next week. -- Mario 19:51, 18 August 2010 (EDT)
Still stable...
Still stable after one day. The amount of SMS today was realy small and the SMS Gateway works stable. Tomorrow we will raise the SMS amount to a higher volume. Well, we are looking forward that everything will work as expected. -- Mario 19:42, 19 August 2010 (EDT)

First beta release coming soon!

Still active, lot of bugs fixed
Don't worry, we are still active! In the last few days we fixed some bugs in the installer and of course in the SMS Gateway itself. We gained experience under productive conditons in the last days and took the chance to optimise some procedures. Serial/USB modems may follow soon
